What Is Apni Chhat Apna Ghr Program
Under the Apna Chhat Apna Ghar Program, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz provides interest-free loans of up to 15 lakh rupees to poor families to help them build their own houses. This will allow them to buy a home and lead a better life. In the first phase of the scheme, 17,000 families are provided interest-free loans of Rs. 15 lakh, which is fixed at Rs. 14,000 per month.
The Punjab government has announced that you can repay this loan within seven years. The Government of Punjab will charge no interest on this loan. Eligibility Criteria
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has launched the Chhat Apna Ghar program to provide facilities to the homeless to build their own houses. Register as soon as possible if you want to benefit from this program. For this, an eligibility criteria has been set by the Punjab government. If you meet this eligibility criteria, the government will provide you with a loan of Rs 15 lakh under the Apna Chhat Apna Ghar scheme. With this, you will be able to build your house. - The applicant should have his plot between five to ten marles.
- The applicant must be the head of the household, as per NADRA.
- Your residence should be in Punjab, and your permanent address should be on your identity card.
- You should not belong to any illegal activity or political party.
- Eligible applicants should not be defaulters of any public sector bank.
- The applicant’s poverty score should be less than 50 in the NSER and PSER surveys.
- The applicant’s monthly income should be more than 40 thousand rupees.
- The applicant should not employed in any government or semi-government organization.

Application Process For Apni Chhat Apna Ghr Scheme
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has introduced an online portal for her Chhat Apna Ghar program through which you can register at home. To register, you must have a smartphone and internet. Without this, you will not be able to register yourself. Apart from this, the Punjab government has established various registration centers in town committees.
So that those people who cannot register online can go to these centers to get their registration done. If they are eligible, they can join the Chhat Apna Ghar program and get a loan of up to 15 lakh rupees. The Punjab government only provides loans for house construction in the first phase. In comparison, Maryam Nawaz says that in the next phase, the facility of built houses will be provided to deserving and homeless people. So, only those who own their plot should register now.
